The series shows nature’s last true wilderness; a beautiful and pristine environment, largely unexplored and filled with an incredible array of magical wildlife. It is also a brutal and unforgiving place where the animals must fight for survival. The positioning line I presented was ‘Life On Thin Ice’ and the programme iconic (key art) of the polar bear and cub showed the beauty and fragility. This was the end frame of and set the for the programme promo and the campaign evolved across the BBC Earth Proms event with life size polar bears made out of ice which melted in the summer sun. Influencer/singer Aurora and Hans Zimmer also performed and the Royal Albert Hall was lit up with Norther Light effects.

The campaign and series has made people more aware of what we need to do to protect areas of our frozen planet and protect ‘Life On Thin Ice’.
